Active Ingredients

Terry Naturally ingredients are grown, tested for efficacy, and formulated to maximize their healing properties.

PATENTED Clinically Studied Curcumin

Curcumin is a component of turmeric, a plant that has been used in India as both a spice and a medicine for centuries.  Besides adding flavour to Indian curry, turmeric has been part of Ayurvedic medicine for millenia.  But there is very little curcumin in turmeric.  Typically, turmeric contains about 2-5% curcumin, so therefore very large amounts of turmeric would be required to get a beneficial amount of curcumin.

Terry Naturally CANADA’s products feature unique, PATENTED clinically studied curcumin.  This clinically studied curcumin has been used in over 50 published studies, including 22 human clinical trials! The turmeric used to create this PATENTED clinically studied curcumin has been tested for its curcuminoid content, and is extracted without the use of any harmful solvents.  It is grown in northeast India without the use of pesticides or chemicals. The crops are sustainably tended by independent, local farmers who are paid reasonable and competitive prices. Raw materials are consistently analyzed for contaminants and tested for potency, in India, in the United States, and according to Canadian requirements.

Curcugreen also known as BCM-95®.

EP107 Echinacea angustifolia

This species of echinacea (Echinacea angustifolia) is not the same kind you would use for the immune system.  It is a clinically studied extract, developed by researchers at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, that comes from the root of the plant and provides echinacosides that bind to brain receptors which helps to reduce symptoms associated with normal anxiety.

EP107 Echinacea angustifolia is extracted using a gentle, hexane-free process and tested free of heavy metals, pesticides, and microorganisms.  It is grown in rural areas away from industry and pollution, contains no synthetic pesticides or herbicides , and is harvested, washed by hand, and dried naturally.

Symphytum x Uplandicum Comfrey

Symphytum x Uplandicum is a clinically studied cultivar of comfrey grown in Germany without chemical pesticides or artificial fertilizers, and is free of toxic PA’s (pyrrolizidine alkaloids).  Symphytum x Uplandicum Comfrey has 16 human studies and is rich in the goodness of the plant’s key elements – choline, rosmarinic acids, and allantoin – from the flowers, stems, and leaves.

Terry Naturally CANADA is the pioneer of introducing this specific species of comfrey to Canada.  Health Canada added Symphytum x Uplandicum NYMAN as a new ingredient to their database during the registration of the NPN.

Clinically Studied, Uniquely Standardized Boswellia

Our clinically studied, and uniquely standardized boswellia is harvested from trees grown in northwest India.  The trees are under the supervision of the Department of Forestry, which carefully controls harvest frequency and other issues of sustainability. Boswellia, also known as Indian frankincense, has been a vital component of Ayurvedic medicine for thousands of years. Unique among botanicals, it works through unique pathways in the body.

Boswellia has a number of beneficial compounds, one of them being called “AKBA” (acetyl-11-keto-β-boswellic acid). The clinically studied and uniquely standardized boswellia chosen for Terry Naturally CANADA’s products uses a unique process that is standardized to provide >10% AKBA, and virtually no pro-inflammatory beta-boswellic acid, which according to studies, could interfere with its optimal effectiveness. Therefore, getting more of what is needed and less of what is not.

GH2002 Propolis Extract

Propolis, a nutrient-packed compound gathered from trees and other plants by bees for hive repair and defense, has long been recognized for it’s benefits in Herbal Medicine. In fact, its very name means “defender of the city” in Greek. Beeswax is often confused with propolis, but they are not the same. Beeswax is used to construct the cell walls of the hive, while propolis is used to seal the hive (it is sometimes called “bee glue”) and protects the hive from bacteria and other invaders.

The propolis (GH2002) in Terry Naturally CANADA’s Propolis Extract is a clinically studied European propolis extract from the secretion of the honey bee. Propolis can be subject to differences in climate and plant type. Fortunately, GH2002 Propolis Extract is collected in a defined area for more consistent results. The bee hives that supply GH2002 are kept in areas that are carefully maintained so that the bees have a consistent food source and produce a consistent type of dark yellow to light brown propolis.
